Kiddie Academy’s® school age program provides safe, convenient care for your child before and after school hours, and during school breaks and most closings. Our small, close-knit community allows our continuously trained and degreed teachers to guide children individually and in groups toward the completion of their projects. Kiddie Academy’s Life EssentialsSM uses specific methods, activities and techniques that help better prepare your child for whatever lies ahead. In our community, the lessons your child learns at school can truly flourish.
The Creative Explorers curriculum is a fun exploration of a variety of themes, each designed to spark the imagination of school-aged children. Daily theme-related activities motivate children to explore Language Arts, Science and Math, as well as Cooking, Creative Arts, Creative Dramatics/Music/Movement, and Character Education/Social Studies. At Kiddie Academy, school-aged children can use their higher-level thinking skills and creativity to complete challenging projects.

Before School: As children wait for the school bus or van, their days begin with a great spark of imagination. Your child will be offered a healthy morning snack, which is a great way to prepare for school. School-aged children will have the opportunity to participate in small group activities, such as building blocks, reading books, playing games, designing artwork, and even reviewing math facts for a quiz in school.
After School: Once the children return to Kiddie Academy after school, their afternoons are filled with many options. Children are offered an afternoon snack to fuel them for the rest of their day. Some families would like their children to complete their homework at Kiddie Academy, so a homework table is set up in a quiet corner of the room, and teachers are present to provide guidance. Other children choose to participate in one of the many activities that are available, such as making collages, producing a play, writing to a pen pal at another Kiddie Academy location, or even building an amusement park using materials of their choice.
Character Education: At Kiddie Academy, we believe it is important to reinforce values introduced at home. Each month, a value, such as loyalty or acceptance, is introduced to your child throughout the program activities, enabling him to better understand the society in which we live, and how to interact successfully with others. School-agers can write a class pledge to promote loyalty to their Kiddie Academy friends.
